The covering season begins on 1st January and ends on 31st July.
Orders for fresh semen please only by telephone or fax and notice must be given at least two days prior to requirement.
Before semen is ordered , we must have the following details:
The owners exact address
Exact shipping address, if different from above
Desired stallion
The mares details (copy of the mare`s pedigree)
If the covering is to be registered in Germany – the breeding certificates must be
submitted to us at the beginning of the covering season.
The stud fee in Euros are exclusive of VAT (7%) and must be paid in advance.
The shipping costs and the health paper costs are to be paid by the breeder.
We charge a daily rate of € 10,00 (incl. VAT), for mares with foals € 12,00 (incl. VAT). The stabling of the mares is at the owner’s own risk.
The veterinarian insemination and treatment (swabs, gynaecological examination etc.) will be made by the stud veterinarian. In all cases of this kind the owner of the stallions is authorised to instruct the veterinarian without prior request of the owner of the mare. This will be done by name and for account of the owner of the mare.
Inseminations will only be made after follicle control by the authorised veterinarian of the breeding station. The taking of swabs is required.
For broodmares who have not conceived or have reabsorbed, half of the paid stud fee from the previous year is credited, provided that this is confirmed by a veterinarian, submitting an attestation by 1st December. If this document has not been submitted by this date, we regret that a credit voucher cannot be granted. Broodmares that have been inseminated after the 1st July of the respective year for the first time and have not conceived will receive a free covering (within the respective price category). Please note, that also in this case, the veterinary attestation must be submitted by 1st December.
When ordering frozen semen, please note that we only sell the semen per insemination dose. Prices can be attained by telephone. Should your mare not conceive, you cannot claim any reimbursement of the stud fee or any kind of stud fee credit for the following year.
Resale of the frozen semen is strictly forbidden.
In order for us to be able to ship the semen, you must send us a container suitable for transportation in advance.
